Queer My Closet is a personal blog written and edited by me. Although I do accept cash advertising, sponsorship, and other forms of compensation, I believe in total honesty, and all sponsored and paid content will be identified clearly. In addition, all opinions and views I express on this blog are entirely my own. Thanks for being cool about it!

What Personal Data I Collect
The personal data I collect includes email addresses and names, for email subscriptions, contact, and comments, as well as analytic data such as countries of residence. I collect this information in order to send emails to my audience, engage with them in post comment sections, and to better understand who visits my site. All users have the option of consenting to providing this information, and may withdraw their consent at any time.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
The contact form on this site collects name and email address information when a user chooses to contact me through it. I keep this data for six months, and I do not use this information for marketing purposes.
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who I Share Your Data With
How Long I Retain our Data
I keep analytics data for one year, and contact form data for six months. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Your Rights to Your Data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where We Send Your Data
Visitor comments are checked through an automated spam detection service.
